  • Permanent Role – Transaction Banking
  • Sydney based – hybrid working, WFH 2 days per week
  • Incredible opportunity to join the Westpac Institutional Bank’s Global Transaction Services team 

How will I help?

Reporting into the Director, Team Leader Client Development – GTS, as the Associate Director, Client Development Manager you will drive our portfolio revenue and deposit growth for our existing Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFI) and Health clients through consistent sales activity and pipeline management. You will also understand the customer’s strategy to identify opportunities for strategic alignment with the GTS technology and product investment road map. You will maintain relationships with senior stakeholders to ascertain sales opportunities and manage the sales process for those opportunities where possible.

You will:

  • Work with the relationship management team and BDMs to develop long term strategic sales plans to retain relationships
  • Design and draft high quality sales solution documents and presentation packs in partnership with Pursuit Management
  • Demonstrate value-add to customers by designing innovative solutions to improve operational and financial management efficiency
  • Proactively anticipate client needs and what products, solutions, and offerings are best suited for the situation

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you will be a pro-active individual with experience managing and understanding client needs with a preference for Corporate or Institutional experience within the transactional banking product environment. You will have strong business acumen and will understand the importance of managing and maintaining sustainable relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.  

Further advantageous skills: 

  • Understanding of the sales process with experience identifying different sales solutions and products for clients within different industry segments
  • Ability to develop an understanding of key clients in portfolio and industry sector to ensure superior service is provided 
  • Highly developed negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed analysis and problem-solving skills
