Working within a passionate and technically skilled team, the company will provide a genuine learning opportunity and support for the right individual looking to establish a long-term career within Financial Planning.  With an extensive Financial Planning offering, they are seeking to appoint an experienced and self motivated Associate Planner to support the team of Financial Planners located in Sydney.

The Role

Reporting to the Practice Manager, your role will be aligned to the Senior Financial Adviser/s to deliver outcomes for clients by designing and developing financial strategies and facilitating the advice process. 

 Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Attending client appointments, completing fact find information and file notes with accuracy.
  • Supporting Senior Advisers in the preparation of advice and review of documents for and from paraplanning.
  • Supporting Senior Advisers in the preparation of advice and review of documents for and from paraplanning.
  • Working closely with Senior Advisers to manage client requirements and facilitate high quality investments and strategic financial advice. 
  • Support aligned Advisers and clients to drive business growth.
  • Facilitate the advice process with internal and external teams such as paraplanning and customer service teams. 
  • Maintain up to date client information in Xplan to ensure data integrity, compliance and reporting. 
  • Create positive client experience via client interactions.

Your Capabilities

For this role we are seeking an experienced Paraplanner, Associate Adviser or Senior Client Services Officer with recent Financial Planning industry experience who is keen to take the next progressive step. You will be self motivated with a keen desire to learn and contribute to the teams objectives. 

You will have: 

  • Detailed understanding of the financial planning process and compliance framework. 
  • Ability to prioritize workflow to achieve business and client outcomes. 
  • Have a detailed understanding of Investment, Superannuation, Centrelink and Risk. 
  • Ideally competent in using Xplan and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Great communication skills, able to work well with other team members. 
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Experience with advice implementation.
  • Completing Financial Planning Tertiary qualification.
