The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Associate Nurse Unit Managers(Intensive Care Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Possess high level clinical and managerial skills and ability to apply these in a number of operational scenarios
- Assist with the education and support of the nursing staff within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Uphold good rostering and leave principles to support work-life balance and decrease risk
- Professional communication skills and emotional intelligence to communicate effectively with the entire ICU team
- Identify, adjust and manage resources effectively to meet organisational requirements and ensure safe, efficient staffing, skill mix and workload
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time, permanent part time
- Base salary $117 817 per annum, $59.42 per hour
About Us
The Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 25-bed ICU equivalent ICU/High Dependency Unit (HDU) averaging 90% occupancy and admitting over 2000 patients per year. The ICU houses Trauma beds aligned with a Level 1 Trauma Service, rooftop helipad providing rapid response and access to an Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation Service (ECMO)
