YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Owners of private businesses face many challenges throughout the business life cycle - from managing daily operations, tax and compliance, to navigating a competitive landscape and planning an exit strategy. Understanding how to grow our clients' business means you will get involved in a broad range of activities including:
- Previous experience working with international inbound entities and individuals essential
- Ideally have previous exposure on cross boarder tax issues such as thin cap, fx, international tax agreements, IDS
- Experience in vCFO is not essential but highly regarded
- Proficient in Microsoft excel
- Preparation of financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT and payroll tax returns for a broad range of clients from SMEs to large companies
- Assisting with tax and accounting advice
- Building relationships with clients
- Develop, coach and inspire junior colleagues
- Work closely with engagement team to deliver client centric results
- Building internal network of Grant Thornton contacts in order to provide a breadth of services to client
- Strong job ownership and proud of work performed/produced
- Using an accounting technology platform that is leading edge amongst all firms across Australia
Your passion for understanding your clients' businesses will see you go beyond addressing technical issues to developing actionable growth recommendations. This role will suit someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Previous experience in business advisory services within a chartered accounting environment
- Have completed or be in the process of completing CA/ACCA qualification or equivalent qualification
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Be highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed
