The Opportunity
With an expanding project pipeline, we have an opportunity for an ambitious Associate Engineer (Preferably Process or Mechanical), to join in a team leader and client management role in Wollongong.
Based out of Port Kembla you would be working directly with one of Beca's key clients on site. You will be leading a multi-discipline Beca team, leading project delivery and leading client relationship activity. You will be working with the Minerals and Metals segment manager and a section manager to develop and implement strategic grow plans for the region.
About You
This position would suit a degree qualified Project Engineer preferably with a process/ mechanical background with practical experience, typically within the Heavy Industrial sector ideally with multi steel technologies.
You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be highly organised with outstanding written and verbal communication and understanding of client needs. You will be capable of working with remote design teams to deliver key projects driving successful project outcomes for the business and our clients.
We also expect that you will be able to:

• Have experience delivering capital projects and understanding key project components
• Understand general construction and/or installation methodologies
• Have experience on site, and an understanding of construction and/or installation costs
• Experience in management of variations, and implementation contracts and risk mitigations
• Have experience leading teams and developing junior engineers and client relationships
