Job Description
  • Contributing to the development and validation of new cell-based assays for application to TGR’s SureFire® Ultra™ and ELISA assay platforms.
  • Culturing of mammalian cell lines to support the cell biology related aspects of cell-based SureFire assay development.
  • Assisting in the expansion of TGR’s CaptSure® singleplex and multiplex technology with other compatible technology platforms.
  • Assisting in the downstream processing (e.g. antibody purification) and cell culture related aspects of TGR’s core technologies where required.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with current approved procedures (GLP).
  • Assist with training of new staff, as required.
  • Perform general lab tasks such as lab stocking and cleaning.
  • Regular attendance and input with R&D & General Staff Meetings.
  • Maintain lab as a clean and safe environment to company OH&S standards.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary Qualifications (to Bachelor level) in Science or Biotechnology with Honours preferable.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in a biological laboratory carrying out most or all of the specific duties listed above with limited supervision.
  • Background in cell biology, protein chemistry and immunoassay development is highly desirable.
  • Team oriented worker who demonstrates a high level of care with the quality of their work. A team mindset is an imperative.
  • Sound written and oral communication skills.
  • Sound understanding of immunoassay analytical techniques.
  • Sound understanding of Microsoft Excel.
  • High analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • High level of flexibility and tolerance.
