Maxima's Recruitment Services are seeking an Associate Technical Officer – Environmental Monitoring for a position with the State Government client.
This is a temporary assignment working full-time hours, commencing March 2024 through to the end of June 2024.
About the Role
As a Technical Officer – Environmental Monitoring, you will play a crucial role in routine and ad-hoc Environmental Monitoring activities, ensuring the highest standards of service to our customers across multiple sites. From sampling to analysis, you'll be at the forefront of safeguarding our water, wastewater, and environmental samples.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct routine and ad-hoc sampling and analysis in the field.
- Provide scientific insights during environmental incidents.
- Ensure efficient sample management through data entry and LIMS operation.
- Maintain and calibrate instruments for accurate results.
- Prioritize safety while delivering exceptional service.
- Collaborate with supervisors and senior Technical Officers.
- Engage with various stakeholders including customers, councils, and government bodies.
- Proficiency in sample preparation and collection techniques.
- Experience with field analytical equipment.
- Strong computer skills for data processing and management.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team setting.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
