We are a young family of four. My husband is from the UK and I am from Perth. We have a 16mo boy and a 3 year old girl. We are in a unique situation where I am currently undergoing chemo therapy. I have stage 3 Lymphoma and treatment is expected to end early august. Since my diagnosis, we have taken our kids out of daycare and they are now at home with us full time. I’m obviously not working and won’t be for some time. This has been quite an adjustment for all of us, but especially for the kids who lived very social lives to suddenly being isolated. The role will be more of a mothers helper. Both parents will be home to help you however my husband will studying in the study. I’ll be around all day but am needing someone who is willing to work beside me while I build my strength back up post chemo. I’ll still have appointments, treatments etc that I’ll need to attend.
Your Duties
Most importantly, your role will be to ensure that our two children are safe, happy and well looked after. We would love it if you could also assist with general chores such as folding washing, vacuuming and prepping lunch for the children if I’m out. As mentioned, I’ll be around to help most of the time. The only time I won’t be there is if I have to attend appointments, go to the shops etc.
Our Perfect Caregiver
Our ideal caregiver is someone who wants to be welcomed into our family with open arms. You’ll essentially be a big sister to our children. We are a very warm and welcoming family. We are looking for someone who is willing to play all the fun “games” with the kids. Dolls, blocks, drawing, building cubby houses and playing outdoors. We would love it if our Au Pair is from a different culture as we’d love to introduce new cultures to our children. My husband and I love travelling and hope to take our children travelling when they’re older.
