With our Head Office based in Canberra and operations in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, Intravision is recognised as an industry leader, having been awarded multiple state and national awards of excellence.

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Specialist to work in our Audio Visual team - this role will play a pivotal role in advancing our business within the Australian market.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens and have the ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include identifying strategic sales opportunities, crafting tailored AV solutions, and effectively communicating the value proposition of our products and services. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, sales acumen, and the ability to foster lasting relationships with clients. Your knowledge and experience in audiovisual systems, technologies, and solutions will be crucial in assisting our clients in making informed decisions and ensuring the successful implementation of our products and services.

The functions within this role include:

Technical Consultation: Conduct thorough needs assessments to comprehend clients' audio-visual requirements.

Solution Design: Collaborate closely with our design and engineering teams to develop customized AV solutions aligned with client needs.

Product Demonstrations: Present and demonstrate proposed solutions to clients, highlighting the benefits and value they offer.

Proposal Development: Create detailed technical proposals, including equipment lists, system diagrams, and pricing information, tailored to meet customer requirements.

Relationship Building: Cultivate and sustain robust client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness. Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners maintain a network of resources to support sales efforts.

Project Support: Work closely with project management and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance our product and service offerings based on client feedback.

Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest trends, innovations, and best practices in audiovisual technologies, attending industry conferences and training sessions as required.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as electronics engineering, audiovisual technology, or a related discipline is desirable. Relevant vendor and industry related certifications in Audio Visual design and integration are required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, with a focus on technical presales, solution design, or system integration. Experience in providing technical support and customer service is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining relationships both internal and external.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound organisational skills including time management.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Bluebeam/AutoCAD and AVIXA CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D, desirable.
  • Experience with SimPRO software, desirable.
  • Ability to gain an NV1 security clearance.
  • General Induction – White Card.

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of audiovisual systems, including video conferencing solutions, displays, sound systems, control systems, and network infrastructure. Proficiency in industry-standard software tools for design and modelling is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills are necessary for conducting demonstrations and building relationships.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to analyse customer requirements, identify technical challenges, and develop innovative solutions to address them.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach with a strong commitment to providing exceptional service and support to clients throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel to client sites for meetings, demonstrations, and on-site support.
