The Role
Due to ongoing company growth, we are seeking an Audit and Assurance Manager to join our growing Risk & Compliance team at Automic. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating external audits, designing and delivering internal assurance programs, and driving the continuous improvement of our Governance, Risk & Compliance practices. With the support of a knowledgeable team, you will oversee and manage Line 3, while also supporting Lines 1 and 2.
The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications, strong project management skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and experience in audit and assurance methodologies and risk management frameworks. Responsibilities
- Facilitate internal controls reports and manage external GS007 audit engagement
- Maintain ISO9001 Quality Management System certification through internal auditing and managing external certification audit engagement
- Develop and maintain risk-based internal audit and assurance plans
- Manage co-sourced model of internal and outsourced internal audit
- Provide insight from audit and assurance activities to inform decision-making
- Deliver value-added insight to the business and tailor audit approach for the right risks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate internal assurance programs and draft high-quality reports on progress and results
Demonstrated Capabilities
- Proven ability to work autonomously and stay updated on external changes and translate them for the internal environment
- Strong time, prioritisation, and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments from start to finish
- Excellent relationship-building skills with key stakeholders and senior management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including briefing staff of all levels, delivering effective presentations, and high-quality report drafting
- Collaborative mindset, able to work across business areas to achieve common goals.
- Proficient in dispute resolution
- Experienced in delivering assurance, including audit, change initiatives, and controls design and operation
- In-depth understanding of audit and assurance, risk management frameworks, and promoting an effective risk culture
