KEY FOCUS OF THIS POSITION (Why this job exists):

To oversee the operations and growth of Auskick in Western Australia, liaison with the AFL and WA based Auskick centres, and the oversight of entry level programs across metro and regional areas.  Provide operational support to the Head of Participation. Footy Fundamentals program management & administration, development, management of casual staff: including confirming staffing, rosters, venue bookings etc.
Key Responsiblities: 

  • Auskick program management, administration and growth
  • Drive Auskick growth, retention and transition strategies.
  • Support clubs, centres and volunteers to improve the delivery of the Auskick program and associated best practice customer service.
  • AFL Half Time Management – NAB AFL Auskick and Little League
  • Footy Fundamentals program management & administration
  • Develop strategies and promote the transition of Auskick Participants into junior community football.

Desired Skills and Experience:
Essential:

  • Ability to lead and interact confidently with groups of participants and stakeholders
  • Demonstrative ability to innovate
  • Demonstrated ability to operate under pressure situations whilst achieving outcomes
  • A self-motivator, who achieves results autonomously or via teamwork
  • Good customer relationships/ communications
  • Strong Computer literacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • WWC Card
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours

 

Desirable:

  • A sound understanding of the WA Football structure and system
  • Understanding of participation pathways in community sport
  • Experience in training and development programs and course design
  • Level 1 Coaching
