Form of workOur client is a large locally owned Transport / Civil Construction company with a significant fleet of light, heavy vehicles and mobile plant. We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Auto Electrician for an immediate start. About the role: Work will be carried out both in the workshop and off site as required and will include, but not limited to the following:
- Carry out routine electrical works including vehicle preparation and the fitting of electronics.
- Correctly completing and timely submission of all relevant paperwork as required.
- Performing checks and tests to verify the success of repair work.
- Assembling and installing electrical and electronic systems.
- Ensuring that parts are requested in a timely manner.
- Diagnose and undertake electrical repairs on a wide variety of light vehicles, haulage and plant equipment using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
- Preventative maintenance checks & repairs on all electrical equipment and components.
- Connect power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supply.
- Adjust engine control systems and timing.
Essential:
- C Class Licence
- White card
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- Previous experience in similar role Desirable:
- Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers Licence
- First Aid Certificate
- Forklift Licence
- Aircon Licence
