About the role
WesTrac is seeking a Field ServiceAuto Electrician to join our team and provide support in the Tamworth & Gunnedah region. As a Field ServiceAuto Electrician, you will have the valuable opportunity to closely collaborate with our mining customers throughout NSW, ensuring a seamless delivery and handover process for all machines. Your primary responsibility will involve acting as the main onsite point of contact for customers and coordinating the onsite assembly and customisation of CAT machinery. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting repairs, maintenance, and inspections on various CAT equipment. This crucial aspect of your role includes diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance tasks, and conducting meticulous inspections to ensure that all machines are in optimal working condition before being handed over to the customer.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact, addressing customer requirements and providing excellent customer service.
- Coordinate onsite assembly and customisation of CAT machinery based on customer specifications.
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections on CAT machinery to ensure optimal working condition before handover.
- Provide travel support, visiting various locations in NSW to offer Field Service assistance and address customer needs.
- Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as Mining Support Representatives and Project Coordinators, to manage customer requests and machine requirements, ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery process.
Roster and Remuneration - Multiple roster options available
Option 1 - 7 days on, 7 days off roster, 6:00 am - 6:30 pm
The hourly rate for this position is starting from:
- Hourly rate: $57.77
- Overtime Rate: $86.66
Option 2 - 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off roster, 6:00 am - 6:30 pm & 6:00 pm - 6:30 am
The hourly rate for this position is starting from:
- Hourly rate: $64.11
- Overtime Rate: $96.17
Please note that the rates provided as a guide and are subject to change based on the assessment of each candidate's skills and experience within the role and different roster options are available for discussion.
Skills & Experience
- Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology
- Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment
- OEM Experience
- Exposure to SIS or ET
- Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure deliveries are made on time and to customer standard
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in the field and in a team
- Current Licence
