Automotive fabricator

We are a small company in Sydney converting classic cars to electric.www.electrogusto.com.au. As part of the conversion process we need components designed and fabricated. Items such as motor mounts,battery boxes,adapter plates and couplers, and brackets etc.

We are looking for someone with fabrication experience who also has automotive knowledge. Someone who loves classic cars and also has good mechanical knowledge. CAD design skills are a big plus.

We are modern day hotrodders and need problem solvers and makers to join our small team. This job will start as part time and then hopefully move to full time as we become more busy. Things we need a hand with: designing components such as metal boxes for batteries and getting them made either in house or with external fabricator partners.

Designing and fabricating engine mounts for electric motors we are installing. Designing adapter plates to be CNC'd out of aluminium to sit between the original gearbox and new electric motor. Designing motor couplers to be CNC'd out of steel that fit new electric motor shafts and mate to the original cars flywheel.

having experience or knowledge to help solve mechanical challenges when we update a car such as new drive shaft lengths or brake upgrade solutions is also a big plus.
