  • Validate developed software through in-vehicle testing.
  • Identifying and correcting errors in system behaviour through methodical problem-solving
  • Ensure the successful release of software projects into production and assist the cross-functional team to achieve the project goals.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of business systems and processes to reduce costs, improve quality/reliability, and increase productivity.
  • Understand and implement applicable standards for EV vehicles and Automotive Software
  • Provide assistance to the R&D team to formally validate application design against system requirements.
  • Provide estimates for the team schedule and notify of any schedule variances to the Manager.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to discuss and agree on designs as well as explore improvement opportunities.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Exhibit passion for pro-activeness, accountability, excellence, and being self-driven.
  • Proven experience as a software architect in the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Understand automotive communication protocols, in particular, CAN.
  • Understand the importance of software and the limitations of the hardware it controls.
  • Have an interest in how software can be used to intelligently control hardware devices.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally if required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering, majoring in either Software, Electrical, or Mechatronics.
  • Have experience in design for testing and design for production, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink.
  • Other languages, such as C++, Python, or ROS, would be advantageous.
