POSITION SUMMARY
Located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, QLD, Omni is looking for a suitably motivated individual to join the team as the Aviation Stores Controller. The position will work in a small team of SME's that provide customised solutions for our client's requirements. With a fantastic team culture, our Caloundra based Rotary Wing team provide excellent customer service and professional aircraft maintenance services. Combined with knowledge and experience from other teams within the Aerospace Division, the Helicopter Maintenance Team is well positioned to meet the needs of our clients. The Stores Controller will maintain and source the appropriate Aviation Stores components and equipment. Stock takes will be conducted regularly to ensure stores and process are maintained at a high standard in accordance with the procedures in our Maintenance Organisation Manual (MOM). All usable parts will be properly accounted for and in a serviceable condition to allow access as required. The maintenance of Stores records is accurate and regular audits are conducted.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Acquit requisitions, raise purchase orders, and source aircraft parts, hardware, and hangar consumables.
  • Inventory management of aviation components, equipment, and tooling. Stock management including stocktaking duties.
  • Receipt and dispatch of goods.
  • Sourcing and auditing suitable suppliers and maintaining the suppliers list in Aerotrack.
  • Managing the maintenance and repair of parts and stores, including management of release notes upon return.
  • Ensuring that all tools are in a serviceable condition and tagged. Managing the calibration of tools. Confirm traceability is maintained on all items within the stores systems and Aerotrack.
  • Management of shelf-life recertification, unserviceable components and the Quarantine store and disposal process.
  • Management of freight (inbound and outbound deliveries).
  • Ensure core exchange parts and warranty claims have been dealt with correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain Aerotrack with current records of stock movements, including inventory system and accounting systems.
  • Support the planning and conduct of aircraft maintenance through forecasting part requirements.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated knowledge of CASA requirements and Aviation Standards as it relates to parts and equipment.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar business capacity.
  • The ability to maintain records and account for stores and equipment.

DESIRABLE SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organisation and management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience of performing in an Aviation Stores Controller role.
  • The ability to use Aerotrack or a similar platform.
  • Interpret Omni policies and ensure compliance with related legislation and standards.
  • An effective communicator with negotiation skills to engage in a collaborative and productive way with internal staff and external stakeholders.

Eligibility Criteria
