BAF306 - Lead Pricing Analyst

Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) is Australia’s largest rural water corporation responsible for storing, managing and delivering water across most of northern Victoria. GMW provides more than 39,000 services to about 25,000 customers in its operating region.

Based in Tatura and working in a hybrid environment, you’ll join a dedicated Finance team located in the Business and Finance Division. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced financial modeller.

We are looking for a detail-obsessed, proactive and creative Lead Analyst to drive the delivery of essential price modelling and regulatory compliance reporting.

As a primary support to the Pricing and Projects Manager this role is key to support all GMW pricing functions with the following responsibilities:

• Being instrumental to support strategic decision making through developing financial modelling that is effective and adaptive to multiple scenarios
• Monitor, update and enhance GMW’s robust price models
• Responsible for regulatory reporting including undertaking analysis and reporting of GMW’s performance against Pricing Submissions
• Project management and delivery of the regulatory and pricing compliance program
• Provide input into stakeholder price related enquiries
• Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to increase awareness of GMW’s regulatory environment
• Flexible work arrangements for the right candidate

• Advanced excel skills and experience with financial software systems
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling and data analysis
• Although experience reporting within a regulatory environment would be an advantage it is not mandatory as on the job training will be provided
• An appropriate business or finance related qualification
• Experience summarizing, analysing and presenting results in a complex environment
• Attention to detail and strong motivation for quality, accuracy and timeliness
