Bar and Function Manager

About Us: Thaxted Park Golf Club, with it's history and commitment to providing a family-friendly atmosphere, is seeking an experienced Bar & Function Manager to join our team. 

Role Overview: As the Bar & Function Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage area at the Clubhouse's main bar. Your responsibilities will include managing Bar and Functions operations, ensuring high-quality food and beverage service, handling ordering processes, and creating staff rosters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management: Efficiently coordinate and manage all aspects of the Bar and Functions operations, ensuring seamless service and customer satisfaction.
2. Staff Management: Lead and motivate a small team, including handling staffing requirements, creating rosters, and providing guidance for optimal performance.
3. Inventory Control: Take charge of ordering processes, monitor stock levels, and conduct regular stocktakes to maintain accurate inventory records.
4. Customer Focus: Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
5. Organisational Skills: Maintain a high level of organisation, multitasking effectively, and demonstrating attention to detail in all responsibilities.
6. Problem Solving: Display strong problem-solving skills, utilising initiative to address challenges and make informed decisions.
7. Adaptability: Work effectively in a dynamic environment, being able to adjust to changing circumstances and manage tasks independently.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
2. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve operational excellence.
3. Customer Focus: Strong dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
4. Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
5. Initiative: Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
6. Availability: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the business.
