About the Role:
As a Bariatric Dietitian in our Bariatric Surgery practice, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive dietetic support to patients undergoing weight loss interventions. Working within our multidisciplinary team, you will conduct primary and secondary consultations, perform clinical assessments, and collaborate with colleagues to develop tailored management plans. Your focus will be on optimizing healthy eating habits, well-being, fostering self-management skills, and empowering patients to achieve sustainable health and weight loss outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaboration Engage in regular consultation, mentoring, and clinical case reviews with other healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
· Clinical Provision Deliver evidence-based dietetic assessments, interventions, education, and management to support patients' throughout their journey.
· Formulation Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop holistic management plans that address patients' individual strengths and challenges.
Your Contribution:
· Qualifications: An approved Undergraduate Degree in nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited course or an approved Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent) followed by a Post Graduate Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited course recognised by Dietitians Australia.
· Registrations: Possess current registration with Dietitians Australia.
· Experience: Bring over 2 year of experience as a dietitian, desired (but not compulsory) expertise in eating disorders management, disordered eating, and bariatric surgery.
· Multidisciplinary approach: Demonstrate experience working within multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaborative relationships with diverse healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
· Empathy and Understanding: Exhibit sensitivity to the complex needs of patients undergoing bariatric surgery, with the ability to support them through various stages of their journey.
· Commitment to Quality: Maintain current National criminal history check or be willing to obtain one to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
