As the Base Operations Manager, you will be responsible for working with the Regional Manager QantasLink Airports to provide support and leadership across regional airports within QLD. Your role will lead the safe and efficient day-to-day operation across the key areas of safety, on-time performance, supplier management and regulatory compliance. The role will drive a performance focused culture that delivers outcomes through manpower optimisation, contract management and infrastructure development to achieve the strategic business objectives of safety, punctuality and customer service excellence.
You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative functions that support the Qantas Link airports strategy, team and third-party suppliers. The role will work closely with other Qantas and QantasLink Airport teams to identify and implement business improvement initiatives that improve customer service delivery, operational performance and drive down cost.
You’ll have –
Previous experience and background in Aviation and Airport operations desirable
Knowledge and understanding of airport ground operations; both above and below wing beneficial
Analytical approach to problem solving and capacity to produce results within a given time frame
Strong commitment to business improvement and ability to deliver results
Strong stakeholder focus with the ability to build constructive and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including contractors)
Exceptional communication skill (both Verbal and Written) with the ability to influence at all levels
Detailed understanding of all aspects of operational, safety, security and emergency standard operating procedures
High motivation and an ability to work autonomously
Forward thinking with the ability to understand the ‘big picture’
Ability to travel as required to support operations
Experience working with systems such as Amadeus , Altea CM, Power Bi, Fist Bag would be advantageous
A high level of computer literacy and proficiency with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
