About the opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Powerlines and Electrical Services, the role is accountable for annual workforce forecasts to ensure efficient delivery of the Regulated and Unregulated Work Program, as well as developing and driving strategic initiatives and programs that align and deliver on the Asset Management & Operations and organisational strategies. The role will also provide leadership and operational accountability for planning, scheduling and dispatching the regulated program of work for Powerline and Electrical Services, ensuring material requirements are uploaded and progressed to delivery units -construction ready. The role is supported by a diverse and high performing management team and its support staff, with expertise across the functional service areas. Other responsibilities include:

  • Dispatch Operations, accountability for the 24/7 dispatch for unplanned network outages and emergency response activities;
  • develop and enhance reporting that supports efficient delivery of the work program;
  • continuous improvement (operations and systems) to maximise utilisation and quality of customer service;

 

About you

Applications are encouraged from suitably qualified (Business or Planning, Scheduling, Forecasting) persons with experience in the management of a large complex work program. The incumbent will apply their experience and knowledge of supply/demand resource planning, scheduling and work management processes and systems to drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams to maximise the utilisation and quality of service to customers.

 

Commercial and business acumen, strategic planning capability, change management, stakeholder management and proven ability as a strong, engaged, visible, respected, and collaborative leader will be key qualities for success in this position. The incumbent will have complex problem-solving skills with experience presenting advice and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels to influence and deliver change initiatives and works programs.
