What’s the Role?
An exciting opportunity exists for an organised andself-motivated individual to join our team, undertaking a combination of practical and administrative tasks ‘Batch Plant Operator’ at our Wallan Concrete Plant. 

• Site: Wallan Concrete (4B Freeway Drive, Wallan VIC 3756)
• Working Hours: 38+ hours/week (overtime as required, including rotating Saturdays). 
• Remuneration Package:  The remuneration package will be discussed with short-listed applicants. Above award rates drawn from the Pre-Mixed Concrete Award are offered with annual wage reviews. 
• Training Opportunities: A personalised training program (including on-the-job and Certified training) will be provided.

Duties Include:

• Overseeing the operation of a concrete Batch Plant.
• Accepting, setting up and dispatching customer orders, including truck scheduling.
• Comply with company policies, housekeeping standards, and reporting requirements to ensure the safe performance of all duties.
• Maintain communications with your Manager and others in your AW and undertake all activities in a diligent and efficient manner.

Do you have what it takes?

• Demonstrated experience in COMMAND batch software and hardware system.
• Concrete industry experience.
• Front end loader licence and HR licence advantageous. 
• Honesty, punctuality and courtesy and be able to develop rapport with customers and workmates.
• High personal hygiene and presentation standards.
• Experience in maintaining equipment, including concrete batching plant, agitators and front end loaders would be an advantage.
• A sound mechanical background in troubleshooting, identifying and resolving issues.
• Physically fit and capable to perform manual tasks as outlined in the job description
