Your in spa role will consist of assisting receptionists, and therapists alike to ensure client satisfaction and the smooth running of the spa. Laundry and cleaning will be required along the way and the more treatments you become qualified in at your chosen ATO, the more training and support endota spa the rocks will give to you to enable you to engage and treat clients within the spa.
Certificate IV apprentices work as Beauty Therapists to provide a range of beauty therapy treatments and services, including lash and brow treatments, nail services, make-up, massage and waxing. Apprentices’ are to be clearly identified to all clients and may communicate with clients to recommend treatments and services and sell retail skin care and cosmetic products.
Apprentices’ perform routine and non-routine activities and solve non-routine problems applying and adapting technical skills and knowledge and use judgement in the provision of beauty treatments and services. In the final year of their apprenticeship they may work largely independently when competencies have been delivered by the RTO and these competencies are endorsed by the employer on the apprentices’ training plan.
Work is typically conducted in beauty salons and spas where a qualified member of staff is onsite to provide instruction and subject matter expertise as required. Supervisors review and approve apprentices work and are responsible for all treatments conducted by the apprentice.
