Work where you live, either part-time or full-time!
- Are you an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who is passionate about behaviour, and committed to person-centred best practice?
- Would you like to join a progressive team that will support and value you?
- Utilise your Behaviour Support skills!
This role will provide Behaviour Support services to Hobart and the surrounding areas.
We are also looking for practitioners in the Launceston Area. If your location isn’t listed in our adverts, but there is a need for Specialist Behaviour Support in your area, please get in touch with us!
About us
We are an NDIS-registered provider, and we work throughout Tasmania, QLD, NSW, VIC, and WA. Some of our practitioners specialise, but across the entire organisation, we work with all ages, all diagnoses, and all behaviour.
We utilise an array of technologies to allow you to focus on delivering exceptional services in an efficient way – you probably didn’t get into this field for the admin time, so we work to keep that to a minimum!
About the role:
This role has the flexbility to either be part-time or full-time. This is a hybrid working from home and mobile role. You will be based at home (no commute!) and will go out to visit people in their homes, schools, workplaces, programs, and in the community.
Being a Behaviour Support Practitioner involves working with people and their support networks to bring about behavioural change. We do this by understanding the relationship between a person’s environment (social and physical) and their behaviour, and then influencing that person’s environment so that it sets them up for success. Another important part of the role is supporting skill development, to ensure people have effective ways to get their needs met.
Our practitioners meet with clients, conduct assessments, analyse behavioural data, develop strategies and Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs), support the implementation of those strategies and plans, monitor progress, and review where necessary. The role involves other elements, too – connecting with other team members, attending training, participating in projects or research, facilitating workshops, and more. We are proud to have a diverse and passionate team, and we support people to lean into their strengths and interests.

- Ideally, you have postgraduate qualifications or are working toward them

- You have experience undertaking functional assessments and developing PBSPs
