Roster will be 8 on 6 off and preference will be given to candidates who reside in the Townsville region.
What you will be doing:
- Assisting shotfirers and Mobile Manufacturing Unit (MMU) Truck Operators as required;
- Assisting with the hands-on delivery of explosive products, drilling and loading explosives in blast holes;
- Working in tight unison with your team mates to provide excellent service to our valued customers;
- Demonstrating and setting an example of our key company value: ‘Safety is our Priority, Always’; and
- Acting with integrity and respect at all times.
What you will bring
- The ability to pass all required security checks in which to obtain a QLD Explosives Security Clearance;
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen;
- Demonstrated work history in physically demanding jobs working in all types of weather;
- An excellent, positive and team based attitude where you look out for your teammates;
- A basic mechanical comprehension is advantageous, but not essential; and
- A willingness to learn and a focus on career development.
