The CYPRESS program provides professional, confidential counselling and support services to children and families impacted by suicide. This includes working proactively alongside clients and communities to prevent suicide as well as assisting children bereaved through suicide to come to terms with grief and loss, empowering them to move from ‘surviving to thriving’. As the Bereavement Counsellor you will support children and young people bereaved through suicide with your trauma informed, strengths based and person centred approach by providing individual counselling support as well as facilitating support groups and workshops. You will work as part of the wider CYPRESS team alongside other counsellors and provide community based education increasing awareness about the impact of suicide.
