Power Bi developer required! 6 Month initial contract.
You'll need to migrate the existing Power BI datasets/cubes and reports to a new common platform. You will also help reconnect the Power BI datasets/cubes to the new data sources (e.g. SQL, Sharepoint etc).
About the role -
- Translate business problems to BI solutions: from requirement gathering, data discovery, and solution design.
- Create ETL process, datasets and reports in Power BI.
- Perform data analysis, present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot existing Power BI reports, and provide support for end users.
- Document business processes, code, pipeline lineage and other metadata.
- Champion good data practice company-wide.
- Train end users on how to access reports and train super users on how to use data in the data warehouse.
- Support in the design and development of data projects.
- Maintain master data and implement data controls for master data.
- Proficient in creating Power BI reports and datasets. Comfortable in using DAX and Power Query.
- Experience in sourcing data from SAP S4/HANA
- Strong T-SQL skills.
- Working knowledge of data modelling (Star Schema).
- Strong verbal and written communication, and sound data storytelling skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, in particular, Excel
- Experience working in cross-functional project teams.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in creating and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines (preferably in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics) is a plus.
