About the Role

This is a key role within the organisation and requires, energy, commitment, initiative, teamwork, multi-tasking, and time management skills.

As the Bicycle Technician your role will be pivotal to coordinating, servicing and maintaining the Sealink Rottnest's islands bike rental fleet. Key responsibilities of your role will include: 

  • Performing daily maintenance of rental equipment.
  • Operating mechanical equipment in the bike workshop adhering to operational and safety protocols.
  • Loading and unloading our rental bikes onboard our vessels.
  • Transporting bikes to other loading / unloading locations.
  • Providing support to vessel crews as needed.

About You

  • Have proven problem solving and diagnostic skills
  • Capability to thrive in a bustling environment with tight timelines
  • Be organised
  • Have an ability to perform autonomously
  • Be flexible and reliable
  • Be available to work public holidays, weekends and evenings - Essential

Key Skills that are essential to the role are:

  • Experience in bike mechanics
  • Current Driver's Licence 
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Systems 
  • Knowledge of WH&S Regulations 
  • Ability to back single and dual axle trailers in tight areas.
  • Forklift License (preferred).
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (beneficial).
