The Faculty of Science's organisational structure consists of two schools, two research institutes, administrative services, and Technical Services. Comprising of five discipline-based teams and an operations team, Technical Services is Faculty led, providing technical expertise and operational management for Academic Staff and students covering more than 100 teaching and research laboratories and ancillary spaces that includes a store and workshop.
About the RoleThe incumbent will support research and activities in the Biologics Innovation Facility, a GMP-like environment consisting of a suite of cleanrooms with pilot-scale manufacturing capacities for biopharmaceutical products. The primary purpose of this position is to support downstream purification processes for biomanufacturing. The successful applicants will also assist in process optimisation, protein assay and characterisation, final product filling and labelling and equipment maintenance and services.
The applicant must also support implementing and maintaining the facility's quality management system.
As the ideal candidate, you will possess:- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Hands-on experience in performing protein purification
- Knowledge of PC2 laboratory procedures
- Confident in advising and instructing students, staff and industry partners
- Demonstrated knowledge of cleanroom operation and GMP manufacturing environment
Remuneration
Base Salary: $92,851 to $100,534 pa (HEW 6)This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of Staff Benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave, access to the UTS Fitness Passport program and salary packaging opportunities.This position is full-time and the appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months.How To Apply
