Job description

Kantar is seeking individuals to join our team as Multilingual Telephone Interviewers.

Candidates must be fluent in English and a second language, have a strong eye for detail and a professional can-do attitude, to interview members of the public from all walks of life. Whilst there is no selling in this role (you are only asking people questions on behalf of our clients), candidates must possess the ability to persuade respondents to hear them out.

In this role, you will be conducting most interviews in English and will be responsible for conducting phone interviews with individuals who may speak other languages. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

For many of the studies we complete we are looking to represent an accurate cross section of specific areas throughout Australia.

With hundreds of languages being spoken and 23% of Australian’s speaking another language at home it is essential we maintain a strong base of other language speakers on our team.

We have the highest need for the languages listed but all language speakers are welcome to apply.

  • Greek
  • Arabic- specifically Lebanese, Egyptian, Palestinian and Sudanese dialects
  • Italian
  • Vietnamese
  • Spanish
  • Persian - and/or Farsi and Dari

Kantar Australia is one of the world's leading Market Research consultancies and we are looking for bright, energetic people to join our interviewing team in our purpose-built, brand-new office in Mascot which is a 5-minute walk from the train station.

In addition, you have basic computer and typing skills, good listening skills, clear speaking ability and to be available for a MINIMUM three shifts per week, at least 2 weekdays and 1 weekend. Standard working hours are between 1:00pm-8:30pm on weekdays and 9:30am-5:00pm on weekends, shifts must be a minimum of 4 hours (e.g., 4.30pm-8.30pm).

You might like this casual role if you are a student, tutor or someone looking for a casual role with flexible hours. People who have experience in CATI (computer assisted telephone interviewing), face to face, and/or Market Research focus group recruiting are also encouraged to apply.

While experience is always a bonus, it is not a requirement, as we are happy to train the right candidates.

If you enjoy talking to people on the telephone and would like to work with a friendly professional team, please submit your resume and we will be in touch with short listed candidates.
