Position: Primary and Secondary Education Tutors

Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide group tutoring sessions to students in secondary year levels.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure continuity in learning and support the integration of tutoring sessions.
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and educational best practices to enhance teaching methods and approaches.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student confidence and academic growth.
Qualifications & experience
- Must have obtained a Bachelor's degree or a current university student.
- Must have current VIT or Working with Children Check.
- Available to work after school and on weekends
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience in secondary education preferred but not essential
- Demonstrate great understanding of Victorian curriculum and VCAA study design, especially a strong knowledge of the relevant subject matter and curriculum
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students of diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills to plan and manage tutoring sessions effectively.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
- IB teaching experience will be considered favourably
- Able to prepare and tailor their lesson plans and worksheets using basic office applications such as PowerPoint slides, PDF and zoom.
