New opportunity for a Biomedical Assistant/Mechanical Fitter to join our Biomedical Engineering team at Greenslopes Private Hospital in Brisbane.
This position is an entry level, permanent full-time opportunity with on-site training!
About the Role
The successful candidate will assist in the maintenance and repair of medical beds and hoists, with guidance provided as required by senior members of the Biomedical Engineering team.
You will ensure that mechanical equipment throughout the hospital is compliant with relevant legislation, regulations, standards, test/approval specifications and codes of safe practice as described by the relevant regulatory authorities.
You will demonstrate a good mechanical aptitude and the ability to complete administrative tasks required to document your work.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in your application for this position, it is essential that you bring a history of excellent time management skills and proven ability to work both in team and independent environments when required. Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
- While no formal qualifications are required and assistance will be provided, it is expected that the applicant demonstrates a strong interest in and passion for all things mechanical.
- Knowledge of and/or prior experience in a similar environment will be highly regarded.
- Ability to plan and effectively execute workload on a day-to-day basis.
- Good communication skills and manner to discuss problems and solutions with other disciplines, patients and the public.
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $ 28.06 - $ 34.24 + superannuation based on experience and qualifications. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.
