About the role:
This is a permanent opportunity that may suit a strongly motivated and driven applicant with an interest in the provision of Blood Management. The role is Gold Cost /Tweed based with some travel involved intrastate.
The main purpose of this role will be to provide Blood Management services, principally within the Perioperative environment, with a high level of professionalism. The successful candidate must be able to maintain current and establish new professional relationships, follow record keeping guidelines and communicate effectively with others. Comprehensive training of approximately 3 months will be given.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a professional Blood management and Autotransfusion service.
- Comply with training systems and procedures.
- Work autonomously, efficiently and professionally.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to communicate necessary information and records via oral and written means.
- Maintain equipment specifications and quality control data.
- Adhere and contribute to the guidelines expressed by the company.
You will have:
- Experience in a hospital environment.
- Previous experience in operating theatres.
- Ability to work in high pressure situations.
- Demonstrated capacity for precision, detail and accuracy.
- Great time management skills.
- Flexibility with rostering.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships, within all levels of the organisation.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
