Global Higher Education (GHE) is an Institute of Higher Education focused on the delivery of quality higher education relevant to students and employers. GHE is the trading name of IIBIT AHE Pty Ltd. which is a 100% owned subsidiary of InfoTech Professionals Pty Ltd (ITP) trading as IIBIT (International Institute of Business and Information Technology) in Sydney and Adelaide. 

The Board & Committees Secretary reports to the CEO and is responsible for the smooth functioning of GHE’s key academic and corporate governing boards and committees and is responsible for record keeping in relation to GHE’s policies and procedures.

The Role:

  • Governance and secretariat support including the preparation, coordination and quality assurance of meeting papers, minute taking, action delivery and follow up, preparation of correspondence, organisation, and scheduling of face to face and video meetings as required.
  • In support of the Board of Directors, Audit & Risk Committee, Academic Board, Course Development and Advisory Board, Teaching, Learning and Quality Committee, Board of Examiners.
  • Maintenance of the Institute’s Policy and Procedures and Governance Frameworks in conjunction with the Compliance and Quality Assurance Officer.
  • Record keeping and document management.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the Institute’s continuous improvement initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A degree with relevant experience or equivalent combination of work experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience of an education-based role.
  • Demonstrated experience providing secretariat support to board and committees. 
  • Appropriate contemporary IT and office systems skills.
  • Proven ability to assist with problem-solving and consequent action.

  • Demonstrated high-level planning, organisation, and coordination skills together with the ability to recommend and decide on appropriate action. 
  • Demonstrated ability to forge and maintain productive working relationships, working pro-actively both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and apply judgement. 
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder skills to build engagement.
  • Excellent attention to detail, written, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • A record of professional integrity, and ethical conduct.
