Currently looking to engage an experienced Executive Board Assistant into their committed team, they offer an outstanding opportunity to apply your high-level EA and administration capabilities in an exciting and unique position.  

Your new role  

 As the Executive Assistant to the Board, you will provide administrative support to the Board of Directors, Executive and Risk and Compliance team. Acting as the Association Secretary you will provide advice to the Board regarding application of the Act, ensure compliance with the Rules and ACNC requirements. The role supports the effectiveness of the Board by ensuring Board policy and procedures are followed and by coordinating the timely completion and despatch of board agenda and briefing material. Additionally, you will engage in significant policy development and implementation, establishing mechanisms for governance requirements and policy monitoring and enforcement. Further accountabilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Managing board correspondence and communications 
  • Coordination of board and committee meetings and events 
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive board matters 
  • Preparation of meeting materials, presentations, and reports. 
  • Recording meeting minutes and distributing action items. 
  • Conducting research and providing support on special projects as needed. 
  • Acting as a liaison between the board, executive team, and external stakeholders. 
  • Conducting regular reviews and assessments of policy effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement 
  • Ensuring necessary registers are established and properly maintained 
  • Ensuring development, implementation, communication and compliance with Board Policies and Procedures 

What you will need to succeed 

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role 
  • Policy and Governance experience (preferred) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
