Our New Product Introduction team is looking for the right person to complete our dynamic team.
Located at our state of the art waterfront facility in Coomera and working for Riviera, Australia’s most awarded Luxury Motor Yacht manufacturer, this could be the career upgrade you’ve been working towards.
No formal qualification required, however, you must demonstrate:
- Excellent trade skills in Fibreglass Boat Building
- Willingness to work in an office environment for at least half of your time
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
More about the Role:
This hybrid role involves split duties: You'll spend approximately half your time in our design office working on technical documentation and the other half assisting Stage 1 Fit OutBoat Building crews with your trade skills. (No need to be a computer expert)
Enjoy working autonomously in a supportive, environment with down to earth management: With a solid understanding of the Stage 1 Yacht Fit Out process, you will be empowered to manage your time and task prioritisation while collaboratively working towards the New Product Introduction teams goals and deadlines.
Feel rewarded as the essential link between designers and Boat Building teams: Effective communication, demonstrated Boat Building expertise, and a forward-thinking approach are vital in ensuring the seamless introduction of Riviera’s exciting new models into sustainable long-term production.
Responsibilities:
Applicants will require proven experience in the following boat construction concepts:
- Systems runs (plumbing, etc.)
- Major component assembly such as decks to hulls
- GRP small part fitment
- Fitting plumbing, hoses, and pumps
- Fitting windows, glass, and hatches
- Making sub-assemblies and parts
- Fitting various accessories (bow rails, winches, sliding doors)
- A strong understanding of safe work practices and workplace health and safety
As this is partially an admin role, you will also need:
- A willingness to learn basic computer skills such as; Microsoft: Outlook, Publisher, Word, Excel
- A professional demeanor and presentation
- Good written and communication skills
