Kenworth trucks have dominated the heavy-duty truck market in Australia for many years and are the market leading brand. DAF is a modern technologically advanced European truck, manufactured by Paccar, who are the parent company of Kenworth trucks.
We are part of the CMV Group, a South Australian owned business which was established in 1934 and now has over 1800 employees.
About the role
Working in a modern well-equipped workshop, we are seeking an experienced trade qualified Body Builder / Welder /Metal Fabricator. The person we seek will be able to produce high quality workmanship in the preparation of new trucks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair, manufacture or modify mechanical and cosmetic parts of trucks and trailers such as suspensions, chassis, stainless steel panels and brackets
- Assist with non-metal fabrication / welding tasks – such as fitting of weight gages, bumper bars, fridges microwaves and the like
- Ensure accessories requested on repair orders are fitted and completed
Skills and Experience
- Trade qualified Metal Fabricator / welder, boiler making, body building or similar with experience in Transport Engineering
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality workmanship on time and within budget is essential
- Drivers Licence
