Boiler Service Technician Type B Gas

About the role

Allfire Boilers and Combustion, located in Knoxfield is seeking the skills of a Type B Gas Technician, Plumber / Electrician to join our expanding service requirements.

Trainee position also available for A Grade industrial maintenance electrician, Type A gasfitter or Air-con refrigeration mechanic for training as type B gasfitter, experience in plant rooms, mechanical services and to have disconnect-reconnect preferable.

The focus is to grow the skills that encompasses the variety of Type B Gas fitting work with us at Allfire Boilers and Combustion.

You will be required to carry out programmed maintenance, breakdown service, system repairs, installation, commissioning and annual servicing.

The work is primarily in the Melbourne and metro area with some country work that will service the industrial, commercial and the educational sector.

Skills and experience

• Current motor vehicle manual drivers licence required
• Type B Plumbing, Electrical A Grade, Type A Plumbing (not essential)
• Experience with boiler burner and electrical circuits
• Experience with building systems and mechanical services
• Experience with industrial process and steam systems
• Strong communication skills with strong a customer and service focus (written and verbal)
• Ability to plan and organise while working unsupervised and liaise with customers.
• Attention to detail
