Address Our client is a global leader in engineering and technology solutions who is active in multiple sectors including infrastructure, power generation, oil & gas, wastewater, metals, mining and transportation. Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a Qualified Boilermaker to support their rotating equipment team based in their Newcastle workshop.
If you would like to utilise your Welding and Fabricating skills, while mixing it up with some general fitting, assembly and machine operating, then we want to hear from you!
What’s involved?
A variety of workshop based jobs based around rotating mechanical equipment, fans, ventilation and compression
General welding repairs on large fixed plant
Small welding and fabrication jobs
General fitting and assembly of fixed plant
Machine operation
Use of overhead crane and forklift
What are we looking for?
Qualified Boilermaker
2 + years post trade experience preferred
A great attitude and willingness to learn valued above everything else
A background in fixed plant welding and repairs is highly regarded
Mechanical assembly experience highly regarded
Able to pass a weld test
Dogging and Forklift Ticket Highly regarded but not essential
Genuine commitment to safety
Excellent work references that can support your application

$46 / hour
A variety of workshop based projects
Fully paid dogging course if you aren’t already qualified
Internal training and upskilling opportunities
Monday - Friday 6 AM - 2:30 PM + overtime and penalties available
