About the Role:
As a qualified Boilermaker you’ll be joining a small site team of tradesman (Carpenters, Plumbers, Electricians, and local labour on the Pacific Island of Nauru. You will assist in ensuring works flow in conjunction with schedule, identifying materials for procurement, employing a safe, efficient, and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and execute Boilermaker works in the form of patch repair or replacement in conjunction with works methodology.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including Site Managers and Site Supervisors, to ensure project objectives are met.
- Assist in managing local labour trades assistances with Site Supervisors to ensure efficient project execution.
- Hands-on site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Report on project progress, identifying potential issues and suggesting corrective actions with Site Supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with team members, Site Managers / Supervisors, and local labour to ensure a smooth project flow.
Skills and Experience:
- Trade qualified Boilermaker with FIFO experience.
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding – the work is mostly MIG
- Proven experience in construction or remediation projects.
- Strong understanding of construction and remediation techniques, Boilermaker techniques, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- AU/NZ Passport is current and valid for travel Valid.
- Must be able to pass a full pre-employment Medical including Drug & Alcohol Testing
- COVID vaccination certificate & eligible to obtain Police clearance
- Brisbane based applicant is preferred.
