Specialising in providing engineered conveyor solutions for a range of clients who demand reliability and performance, we can take a small idea and make it a big reality!We have a fantastic opportunity for an Experienced Boilermaker to join our Mackay Workshop and assist our Workshops Leadership Team to future success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Read drawings and technical documentation, work orders, and production schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications
- Fabricate large conveyor components as per issued drawings and customer specifications from profile-cut and pre-cut steel
- Examine work for defects and use precision measuring instruments to ensure components and finished products conform to specifications and are within acceptable tolerances.
- Maintain all work areas and storage areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and organised manner
- Accountable for ensuring that the plant, tools, vehicles, and safety equipment associated with the role are operated safely
- Knowledge of heavy fabrication practices and manufacturing processes, including the strip and build of pulleys
- Knowledge of conveyor systems and components
- Ability to apply technical knowledge and experience to solve problems
- Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication, or equivalent trade certificate
- Desirable Tickets: Dogging, Work at Heights, Forklift, Overhead Crane
- Someone reliable, respectful and a team player
- Monday to Friday - 38 hours & opportunities for OT to earn extra $$$
