Job Purpose:
To maintain all plant equipment safely, ensuring minimal downtime and preventing injuries.
Responsibilities:
- Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of employees and contractors.
- Assist the Workshop Manager and Site Supervisor in addressing issues identified through daily plant checklists, monthly site inspections, and third-party reports promptly.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on mobile plant and equipment.
- Design, fabricate, and install plant upgrades.
- Carry out basic fitting tasks.
- Promote a collaborative team environment.
- Assist in training and mentoring apprentices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Complete appropriate competency training.
- Boilermaker/Welder Trade Certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Forklift License.
- Preferred additional tickets: HR Driver’s License, Safe Working at Heights, Riggers, and Confined Space High Risk.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
