Job Description:
As a Boilermaker, Welder, or Fabricator, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and fabricating industrial equipment and structures during scheduled shutdowns and maintenance periods. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on boilers, pressure vessels, and other industrial equipment.
- Shutdown Projects: Participate in planned shutdowns, ensuring all welding and fabrication tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
- Welding and Fabrication: Carry out welding, cutting, and fabricating tasks using various techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and materials (e.g., steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose mechanical faults and perform necessary repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Welder, or Fabricator.
- Proven experience in welding, fabrication, and maintenance work.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and extended hours during shutdowns.
