Boilermaker/Welder

Kennedy Welding, a family owned Metal Fabrication business based in Coorparoo Queensland, is looking to hire a new Metal Fabricator.

The position is full-time and would suit an experience Metal Fabricator, with a minimum of 5 years experience post AQF or equivalent trade qualification.

You will be required to work at our factory at 76 Morley Street, Coorparoo. The successful candidate will be able to successfully perform the following tasks:

Fabricate steel, aluminium and other types of metal to create or fix a metal product or structure.

Ability to correctly select material for the necessary job

Ability to adhere to plans or product specifications to ensure the end result meets client’s expectations

Comfortable using different methods of shaping and bending of metal goods.

Deliver products in a neat and finalized way which may include, cleaning, filing, smoothing and grinding where required.

Using correct and safe methods to join metals together to ensure stability of product

Ensure products are correctly made to meet the specifications of the clients end goal.

The applicant should also have a desire for a long-term position, is reliable and can work autonomously, eager and able to perform onsite welcoming.

The salary for the position is starting at $33 per hour + super annuation but is negotiable depending on experience.
