Lucon Industries, located in Ballan (Boilermakers) and Williamstown (Fitters), was established in 2001 and has become an industry leading company in a diverse range of areas including Quarry Maintenance, Port Industry, Factory Shutdowns, Recycling Facilities and Bespoke Fabrication.

We are based in both Ballan AND Williamstown and have a wide range of customers throughout Greater Melbourne region. 

Lucon Industries is proud of its crew, fully trained and suitably qualified trades people working in the construction and maintenance of fixed and mobile plants. Lucon is currently seeking to grow its workforce of fabricators, boiler makers & welders, to meet current and ongoing demands.

About the role:

• Based in either Ballan or Williamstown location with additional requirements of travel to customer sites throughout greater Melbourne region
• Fabricate and install steel structures
• Interpret technical drawings and planning to coordinate project tasks
• Preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of fixed and mobile plant
• Shutdown maintenance
• Repairs to machinery and plant equipment according to agreed schedules and work orders
• Ensure adequate communications are maintained with Leading Hand

To be considered for this opportunity you will have:

• Trade qualification and experienced (minimum 3 - 5 years post apprenticeship)
• Highly motivated and able to work unsupervised
• Competent in all disciplines of welding with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• In possession of a white/red card
• Drivers license
• Able to travel to customer sites
• Available Monday to Friday with occasional weekends

Highly Advantageous

• Experience in the construction and maintenance of fixed and mobile plant
• Tickets and/or licenses for Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Forklift, Crane, Rigging, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, and Dogman would be advantageous
