Brake Valve Technician

Key Source Rail is a leading supplier of equipment, parts and maintenance servicer to the Australian Rail Industry. Our Head Office is located in Midvale WA.

Key Source Rail have established a Brake Valve overhaul workshop in Newcastle and require a technician to oversee the inspection, testing and overhaul process.

The key requirements are as follows

• Able to Follow and complete inspection and test plans (ITP) (written)
• Strip and clean Brake Valves and Rail brake system components.
• Carry out inspection of all components associated with Railway Brake systems
• Read and understand component Drawings
• Rebuild/Overhaul Rail Brake components.
• Be able to attach rebuilt brake units to certified test benches for final testing and acceptance
• Supply/Sign off written certification for overhauled valve.
• Warehouse and stock level control assistance.
• Good customer relations.
• Good team attributes.
