These timber bridges will remain in service for many years to come so there will be a continuous on-going need for Timber Bridge Inspectors for the foreseeable future and beyond.In this role, you'll enjoy spending a significant amount of time working outside in regional and remote locations. The work involves the use of hand tools and specialist equipment and workers must have technical abilities. Main Roads will organise and fund the required training for the successful applicants to obtain the required qualifications to perform the role.In addition to our competitive salary and 11.5% superannuation, some of the benefits to working with Main Roads include:
- Gross salary (40 hours per week) of $75,561 to $83,041 ($36-$39 per hour) depending on experience, plus superannuation
- A modified 8 days on / 6 days off roster which provides significant financial benefits to employees by way of overtime payments is currently being utilised. This interim arrangement is in place up to May 2025 when it’s renewal will be subject to review.
- An industry allowance of $71.80 per fortnight (gross rate)
- Travel, accommodation, and laundry allowances
- A mobile phone for work use (Limited private use is also permitted).
- A minimum of 4 weeks annual leave, 10 public holidays, 3 additional public service holidays and 13 weeks long service leave after 7 years continuous service
- Annual Leave Loading of 17.5% paid in December each year.
