Currently, we're seeking an enthusiastic Broadcast Systems Engineer (Audio Specialist) to join our dynamic team in Sydney. This role is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about audio technology and eager to play a significant role in the technical side of live and studio broadcasts.

In the role of Broadcast Systems Engineer (Audio Specialist), you'll be the backbone of our broadcast's audio excellence. With your expertise in audio systems and broadcast technology, complemented by your effective communication skills, you'll ensure our broadcasts run seamlessly. Collaborating closely with various departments, you will tackle projects head-on, solve technological challenges, and keep our operations cutting edge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with diverse teams to fully understand and meet project requirements.

  • Offer expert level support and troubleshooting for our audio and Broadcast Systems, ensuring technical efficiency.

  • Coordinate with the Projects team to develop and implement detailed project plans and system designs.

  • Handle configuration and testing to optimize performance, along with overseeing onsite installations for smooth startups.

  • Maintain operational readiness of audio communication equipment, ensuring they are prepared for use.

  • Keep our audio and communication equipment and workspace orderly, secure, and well managed.

  • Ensure documentation is up to date and meets industry standards.

  • Promote a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and enhances team effectiveness.

  • Stay informed about the latest technological advances in the field for continuous professional development.

Who are you?
  • Profound knowledge of audio mixing consoles, especially experience with LAWO audio consoles, Lawo VSM control system, and familiarity with Riedel Micron environments.

  • Handson experience and technical acumen with Riedel or RTS communication systems.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the broadcast industry, ideally with a background in television or radio broadcasting.

  • Advanced education in audio engineering, A/V technology, or related fields.

  • Expertise in IP based audio technologies (Dante, AES67, ST2110, PTP, Multicast).

  • Comprehensive experience with a variety of audio equipment and sound system optimisation.

  • Strong ICT background, including networks, system management, and virtualisation technologies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication skills, prioritising customer service.

  • Proficient in troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support.

  • Holder of an NSW driver's license.
