Responsibilities:
- Site Management:
- Conduct initial assessments of insurance related damages providing high quality reporting and estimates.
- Provision of roof assessments as required (must have working at heights). Use of drone technology where required.
- Oversee the day-to-day supervision of construction activities, ensuring they align with project plans, timelines, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate the smooth execution of projects.
- Monitor site progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to project milestones.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate on-site teams, including foremen and construction workers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and safety.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to maintain a secure working environment.
- Quality Control:
- Enforce stringent quality control measures to ensure construction activities meet or exceed industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any deviations from project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers to implement corrective actions and improvements.
- Communication:
- Serve as a primary point of contact between on-site teams and project management, ensuring clear communication of project objectives, expectations, and updates.
- Provide regular reports on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
- Address any issues or concerns raised by on-site teams promptly and effectively.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in insurance repair assessment and supervision.
- Working at heights (compulsory)
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies
- Own tools required
