With a strong pipeline of custom/high end residential projects within the inner Melbourne suburbs ranging $3m - $8m are seeking a dynamic and experienced Building Manager to join their team and contribute to the continued success to their ever-growing team.
Position Overview:
As the Building Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the construction process of their custom/high-end residential projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent project management skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee the entire construction process from pre-construction planning to project completion.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all construction activities meet or exceed quality standards, codes, and regulations.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and costs, providing accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
- Client Communication: Regularly communicate with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project delivery or quality.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction management, with a focus on custom/high-end homes.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction best practices.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
